  135. echo    ║       QBALL *will* run from a floppy:  360K, 720K, 1.2M, or 1.44M,   ║
  136. echo    ║  but any file write/retrieve operations are S-L-O-O-W.   If that's   ║
  137. echo    ║  what you've got, however,  it's sure faster than using pencil and   ║
  138. echo    ║  published tables!                                                   ║

  140. echo    ║       With the all the *.EXE files on one 360K floppy, you'll have   ║
  141. echo    ║  room for the full 16 QBALLSAV.* files.   If you want the documen-   ║
  142. echo    ║  tation on floppies, and you're using 360's,  you'll need a second   ║
  143. echo    ║  360K disk.  (If you're saving range tables, all bets are off!)      ║
  144. echo    ║       Two ways to speed QBALL's  operation in file write/retrieve:   ║
  145. echo    ║           1)  Run QBALL from its own directory on a hard disk; or,   ║
  146. echo    ║           2)  If you can afford the RAM, run QBALL from a RAM disk.  ║
  147. echo    ║                                                                      ║
  148. echo    ║  Using a RAM disk -- minimum size = 350K -- will allow QBALL to go   ║
  149. echo    ║  lickety-split!  (That means FAST!)  There's no improvement in the   ║
  150. echo    ║  internal workin's -- they're all in memory anyway -- but external   ║
  151. echo    ║  operations are so quick they're downright nervous!                  ║
